When the quote omits a footnote call number, the parenthetical is “(footnote omitted).”
When the quote omits an in-text citation, the parenthetical is “(citation omitted).”
When multiple footnotes (or citations) are omitted: “(footnotes omitted)” or “(citations omitted).”
